Notify Foamspace that you want to use PoE, and we will ship you PoE Splitters and PoE Injectors to use.
Power or breather hole in Zone Anchor enclosure wall will need to be widened to fit Ethernet pass-through connector. The connector should fit snugly in the hole, to prevent moisture from entering Zone Anchor.
Lithium Ion battery should be removed. When using the recommended PoE Splitter and PoE Injectors, there is no need for the Lithium Ion batteries.
PoE splitter should be used in space previously occupied by battery. It should be secured down to the internal mounting board, using an adhesive velcro or something else, so it does not move around.
6” or 12” Ethernet cable will connect from Ethernet pass-through connector to PD IN on PoE splitter.
6” or 12” Ethernet cable will connect from DATA OUT on PoE splitter to ethernet connector on RPi.
DC barrel cable will connect from DC OUT on PoE splitter to DC plug on Bitscope board.
Weatherproof CAT6 PoE cables should be used for running PoE to Zone Anchor.
