This section describes the process of installing Zone Anchors outdoors on non-penetrating mounts. These non-penetrating mounts are not screwed into buildings or dug into the ground, for example. For installations on buildings, these setups may be preferred by some property owners, since they do not require altering the building in any way (e.g. by screwing or drilling). This installation type is also suitable for open areas (e.g. farms, fields, etc.) lacking existing mounting structures. However, non-penetrating installations may be less safe, secure, and durable, since they are more moveable. This is especially true when installing them on the ground vs. on a roof. We do not recommend this type of installation for long-term deployments (i.e. months or years).

*Number required depends on which types of antennas you are using. Two Vibration Damping U-Bolts are required for the Zone Anchor enclosure itself. Antennas may come with u-clamps that may or may not fit this Non-Penetrating Roof Mount (2” diameter). So, U-Clamps for Antennas [10] or additional Vibration Damping U-Bolts [9] may or may not be required, depending on mounting equipment included with your antennas.
🏠 For slanted roofs, you can use a slanted Non-Penetrating Roof Mount like this one, but you would need to find a mast and appropriate size clamps, screws, etc. for it.
